Exponents and Surds

Welcome to the first Grade 11 Maths course of 2023! We look forward to making your Maths journey this year as smooth as possible.

In this course, we will begin with a review of exponential laws. We then move on to how to work with exponents that are fractions (rational exponents). After that we will look at how to simplify exponential expressions using the most common methods. We will finish the course by looking at how to solve exponential and surd equations.

The Foundation level course will focus on the core ideas that are important for this topic, while this Standard course will cover the same core ideas but will also include some harder questions that require more application of the core ideas.
