Sequences and Series

This course on Sequences and Series is structured to include two lessons per week that cover the basic concepts, with a third lesson aimed at providing learners with a chance to access more difficult types of exam questions i.e. those considered to be complex or problem solving. This lesson is aimed at those learners who achieve 60% and above.

In the course we will start by revising quadratic sequences from Grade 11 and then look at arithmetic sequences and series, using the appropriate term and sum formulae. This is followed by geometric sequences and series, also using the appropriate term and sum formulae. We will then study sigma notation, followed by sum to infinity. The course is concluded with two exam question sessions. The first exam question session will focus on routine questions whilst the second session will look at complex and problem solving questions.
