Algebraic Expressions and Equations [Foundation]

In this course, we will work with algebraic expressions and equations. We will look at how to simplify and solve these expressions and equations using several different operations.

• Lesson 1 60 minutes with Samantha on Monday, 18 Jul 2022, 17:00

  Terminology and Basic Simplification

  We will look at some important terms we need to know, and then move on to simplifying basic expressions.

• Lesson 2 60 minutes with Samantha on Wednesday, 20 Jul 2022, 17:00

  Order of Work in Expressions

  We will simplify algebraic expressions, considering the order of work in each expression.

• Lesson 3 60 minutes with Samantha on Monday, 25 Jul 2022, 17:00

  Mixed Examples of Simplifying Expressions

  We will work through more examples of now to simplify algebraic expressions, incorporating everything we have learnt so far.

• Lesson 4 60 minutes with Samantha on Wednesday, 27 Jul 2022, 17:00

  Solving Basic Equations

  We will look at how to solve basic equations and learn why it is important to use inverse operations to solve equations.

• Lesson 5 60 minutes with Samantha on Monday, 1 Aug 2022, 17:00

  Solving More Complex Equations

  We will solve more complex equations involving multiple operations.

• Lesson 6 60 minutes with Samantha on Wednesday, 3 Aug 2022, 17:00

  Solving Equations with Exponents

  We will solve equations involving exponents.

• Lesson 7 60 minutes with Samantha on Monday, 8 Aug 2022, 17:00

  Mixed Examples of Solving Equations

  We will work through more examples of how to solve algebraic equations, incorporating everything we have learnt so far.

• Lesson 8 60 minutes with Samantha on Wednesday, 10 Aug 2022, 17:00

  Consolidation

  We will consolidate everything we have learnt about simplifying expressions and solving equations.
