Geometry: Straight Lines and Triangles
In this course, we will start our mathematical journey into serious high school geometry. We will look at all the reasons associated with straight lines and triangles. This section requires some problem solving and equation work and will set a great foundation for Grade 10 Geometry.
This course takes the basics one step further to provide some extended examples and questions for those learners who enjoy a challenge.

Lesson 1 60 minutes with Jennifer on Tuesday, 9 Aug 2022, 18:00
Terminology, Angles Around a Point, Angles on a Straight Line
We go through rules and reasons taught in Grade 8, focusing on straight lines.

Lesson 2 60 minutes with Jennifer on Thursday, 11 Aug 2022, 18:00
Vertically Opposite Angles, Mixed Questions
We look at vertically opposite angles and the related questions that combine this new rule with the ones revised in the previous lesson.

Lesson 3 60 minutes with Jennifer on Tuesday, 16 Aug 2022, 18:00
Types of Triangles, Sum of Angles in a Triangle
We define the different types of triangles and look at the rule for the sum of angles in a triangle.

Lesson 4 60 minutes with Jennifer on Thursday, 18 Aug 2022, 18:00
Exterior Angles of a Triangle
We will use this sneaky rule to find angles outside of triangles.

Lesson 5 60 minutes with Jennifer on Tuesday, 23 Aug 2022, 18:00
Isosceles Triangles
We will develop our understanding of the base angles of isosceles triangles.

Lesson 6 60 minutes with Jennifer on Thursday, 25 Aug 2022, 18:00
Mixed Questions
In this final lesson we work on mixed questions, using all the rules we learnt in this course, with a few challenges thrown in.
