Transformational Geometry [Foundation]
Transformation Geometry is all about transforming a shape by moving, rotating, enlarging, reducing or reflecting it. We will be learning a lot of new vocabulary and learn to pay attention to detail as we transform different shapes.

Lesson 1 60 minutes with Katlego on Tuesday, 3 Oct 2023, 17:00
Definitions and Revising the Cartesian Plane
We kick off the first lesson by providing important definitions and vocabulary that are essential in the section of transformations. We will briefly learn what is expected in a question when you are asked to reflect, rotate, enlarge or translate. Important revision of the Cartesian plane will also be covered.

Lesson 2 60 minutes with Katlego on Thursday, 5 Oct 2023, 17:00
Translation Transformation
For translation, you are expected to know how to translate a shape across all four of the quadrants on the Cartesian plane. We will learn some steps to make the process easier to remember and, of course, apply accurately.

Lesson 3 60 minutes with Katlego on Tuesday, 10 Oct 2023, 17:00
Reflection Transformation
In the third lesson, we will be reflecting objects in the x and yaxes as well as in the line y = x on the Cartesian plane.

Lesson 4 60 minutes with Katlego on Thursday, 12 Oct 2023, 17:00
Rotation Transformation
In the section subtitled rotation geometry, we look at the three components of rotation: the angle, the centre and the direction of rotation.

Enlargement and Reduction Transformation
This lesson focuses on changing the sizes of shapes, which relates to the similarity concept covered in the previous section. We will also discuss important concepts such as the scale factor and proportion.

Problem Solving and Exam Questions
We will wrap up Transformation Geometry by taking a look at some related examtype questions and problemsolving questions to apply all the knowledge that we have learnt.
